Here's the latest at the end of Monday. President Biden outlined the U.S. response to the Omicron variant today. Stefani Reynolds for The New York Times 1. "A cause for concern, not a cause for panic." President Biden tried to reassure Americans in an address today, saying that crucial questions remain about the new Omicron variant of the coronavirus and that the administration was in close touch with vaccine manufacturers. The variant has yet to be detected in the U.S. Although it has mutations that scientists fear could make it more infectious and less susceptible to vaccines, evidence to support those fears has yet to be established.
